OUR STORY

Caberryne Power Recliners, Built for the Nights You Actually Live In

It started with a couch that quit. Two years in, the foam had gone flat, the coating on the "leather" was peeling at the seams, and the recliner handle snapped off in someone's hand. Nobody sat on it anymore. That's the part that stung. A living room is where a family lands at the end of the day, and ours had stopped being comfortable.

So we started measuring things. Seat depth, mostly. Most sofas are built for showrooms, where you perch for ten seconds and say it feels nice. Sit for a movie and your back hits nothing. We tested seats until we landed on 21 to 24.5 inches of depth, deep enough to actually sink into. Then we went after the leather. Coated hides look great on day one and crack by year three. Top grain cowhide, the dense outer layer of the hide, does the opposite. It scuffs, it softens, it gets better. We build with that.

The recline was the hardest part. Cheap mechanisms buzz, stick, and lurch. We tested our buttons over a thousand times before shipping them, and now the footrest lifts on a whisper, the backrest sweeps from 100 to 165 degrees, and every seat holds 330 pounds without complaint. Along the way we kept adding the things people were getting up for anyway. Cup holders in the arms. USB and wireless charging in the console. A backrest that folds into a coffee table. LED strips underneath so you can find your drink in the dark. A pull-up reading lamp in the headrest.

Today Caberryne makes power recliners, top grain leather sectionals, sofas, and storage ottomans with hydraulic lids that don't slam. Everything ships in a couple of boxes and goes together in under 30 minutes with two people and no tools. No showroom markup, no six-week wait. Just real leather, real recline, and seats deep enough that your kids fall asleep on them the first night. That happens more than you'd think, and it's still the review we're proudest of.
